Your Data Is Yours
CustodyTrac is built on a foundation of trust. We collect only the information necessary to provide co-parenting services — such as custody schedules, event details, and account credentials. We do not collect data for advertising profiling, and we never sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
No Sale of Personal Information
CustodyTrac will never sell, rent, or share your personally identifiable information (PII) with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
This includes your name, email address, phone number, child information, custody schedule details, medical records, incident reports, and any other data you enter into the CustodyTrac platform. Your co-parenting data is confidential and protected.
What We Collect & Why
- Account data: Email and password (hashed) for authentication and account recovery.
- Custody data: Schedule templates, calendar events, swap requests, and transfer check-ins — to provide core co-parenting features.
- Medical records: Medication logs, appointment notes, and growth records — only visible to authorized parents and their linked attorney/mediation portal.
- Device tokens: Web push notification tokens — solely for delivering real-time custody alerts.
Legal & Attorney Access
CustodyTrac allows you to grant read-only access to your linked attorney or mediator through the Legal Portal. This access is controlled entirely by you and can be revoked at any time. Attorneys see only the data you explicitly authorize — we do not share data with legal professionals without your consent.
Advertising & Affiliate Disclosures
In-Portal Recommendations
CustodyTrac may display recommendations for third-party services, products, or resources within the app portal (for example: family counseling services, legal document templates, or parenting resources). These recommendations may include affiliate links or sponsored placements. When you click an affiliate link or interact with a sponsored recommendation, we may receive a commission or referral fee from the third party.
Transparency
All affiliate and sponsored content within the portal is clearly labeled. We only recommend services and products we believe may be genuinely useful to co-parents. Your personal data is never shared with these third-party partners to enable these recommendations.
No Behavioral Advertising
We do not use your custody data, medical records, or personal information to target ads. Any advertising or recommendations shown are contextual or manually curated — not based on behavioral profiling.
Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Custody schedules, medical logs, and incident reports are retained permanently in our append-only audit log for legal transparency. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support; however, anonymized audit log entries required for legal retention may be preserved.
