Overnight Custody Percentage
The share of a defined period's overnight stays assigned to each parent.
To calculate an overnight percentage, count the nights each parent actually has the child during the period being measured, then divide that parent's nights by the total nights. Courts and child-support agencies may use different worksheets, counting rules, or look-back periods, so a calculator is an estimate rather than a legal determination.
